Dymaxion, Day 1, Restart buttan

So I'm back to the sleep schedule that will change my life etc etc. Will edit this post as I go along.

To reiterate, Dymaxion sleep schedule is the only sleep schedule that allows you to get 2 hours of sleep and survive (of course, lol), barring the Uberman. They're the same thing, just spread out differently.

Day 1: Nap 1: 1:30 P.M.:

Went well. Surprisingly went to sleep, considering I chugged a 5 hr energy before.

Day 1: Nap 2: 7:30 P.M.:

Overslept. Hard. But it was a nice nap :3 As long as I actually sleep I'll be good.
It's going to be interesting if I make it all the way this time... c'mon 1:00 AM nap!

Day 2: Nap 1: 1:30 A.M.:

WOOHOO!!! Finally did this one right. This is the nap that has been messing me up. Now that I'm officially with the Dymaxion, I'ma stick with it like gorilla glue. This shit's awesome. It feels like my brain's in a jacuzzi.

I'll edit this as I take the naps.

One Piece Episode 465

THIS POST OBVIOUSLY CONTAINS SPOILERS MORE MASSIVE THAN THE ACTOR "PRECIOUS".

My thoughts: A fairly good episode. I was no doubt underwhelmed by Doflamingo's speech, though. That could have used better directing. The animation and voice actor was totally on target, though. It'll be good for anime-only watchers, of course.

Observations when watching (in order):

- Does Ace's voice actor get paid per "KGGHHKKKRRKKK" or "OARSU~!!!!!!"?
- His acting does seem better in this episode, though. Captures his suffering better.

- Ace's silent scream when Oars fell was definitely a nice addition. I bet they'll do something like that for the... upcoming event that is similar to that :(

- The music they used when Oars crashed is fairly obscure, and it fit. Nice choice there.

- KIIIIISHISHISHI was more evil than ever :P

- Dude, Whitebeard owning Vice Captain Lonz was freaking amazing. Superb animation + directing there.

- Seeing everyone actually running on Oars' body was neat. I don't think they did that in the manga.

- Doflamingo flipping off the audience and Atmos was cool + his twisted smile.

- Rear Admiral Yukimura, who was shown saving Coby's ass last ep, is shown being thrown around like a rag doll this episode. Just goes to show that nobody is safe in this war.

- Akainu's VA (voice actor) was more subtle this episode. He sounds less like Kenpachi, and, well, better. Great music choice there btw.

- Cool to see the colored glimpse of Akainu's tattoo.

- Ice Witch's VA was pretty good. Nothing exceptional, but not an exceptionally important character either, so it works out.

- Meh, I couldn't help but laugh like Doflamingo when Commander Atmos cut down his own men lol. Just the way that big guy was lugging around those swords... I'm so evil.

- I would've liked better music for Dofl's part, but the part right before the commercial was good.

- Seeing Tsuru's ability animated was more than a little creepy >_>

- I enjoyed Garp's entire part. The hesitant steps towards Sengoku and Ace, the repeats of Ace crying and a new scene in which Garp holds him, the entire flashback (+ some great filler not in the manga in that), and Garp's acting, which was godlike. We haven't seen a teary Garp before.

- Luffy & co's entrance was AWESOME. Easily the highlight of the episode. The awesome music, reactionfaces, and them falling was just superbly done. (part of it was reused from opening 12, but they've reused almost everything from that).

-------------------------------------------------------

All in all, a great episode, because they nailed Garp's part and Luffy's part. Oars falling was also touching, though drawn out. Doflamingo is what makes me give this a...

FFXIV Beta

I JUST started downloading this monster file yesterday (slowpoke.jpg, it's been out for a week), and it's only at 30%. Of the first phase.

Anyway, hopefully I get to play it in a few days. Can't wait for this game to come out :) Square just needs to tweak some shit or it's going to flop... Fatigue system, anyone?

Meh, just gonna make this an entire sleep blog. DYMAXION DAY 1

I'm a TOTAL blogger nublet, can anyone tell me if you can divide blogs into subsections? Cuz if you can that'd be great. I don't wanna just do it by month :P

I will edit this with each nap I take. I've got my driver's license now, can drive home just before work to take a nap, this Dymaxion thing is in full gear now.

I'll edit posts each time I take a nap.

DAY 1: Nap 1: [2:00 PM, delayed nap*]

Went well. Wasn't expecting to sleep at all, but I did for about 30 seconds. Since I'm going to DEPEND on these naps soon, I'll go to sleep right away soon.

*this is my delayed nap for the day. Here's how this works. You can delay 1 nap by a maximum of 30 minutes, AS LONG AS you take the next 2 naps at their correct times. So my sleep schedule is actually: 1:30 AM, 7:30 AM, 2:00 PM, 7:30 PM. It's delayed because of school. Read more about this sleep schedule in the post below this.

{The blog you're reading right now is my main blog where everything gets posted first. As I post more content, it's going to keep dividing into sub-divisions. To follow my sleep schedule, go to misterdymaxion.blogspot.com

edit: day 1 failed lol. I forgot how hard this shit was the first week. PROTIP: do NOT trust your body when it's in bed. It will trick you. I overslept, big time. Trying again today since I woke up early somehow and I can take all my naps.

Dymaxion Sleep Schedule

I've been attempting this long before this post date, but have gone in and out of it (which is reasonable). What I'm talking about is a sleep schedule that could change your life. It's called the Dymaxion Sleep Schedule (but there are a few others to fit today's busy schedule, this one can too if done right). The idea is to cut our regular 8 hours of sleep into a fourth. How is this possible? In our regular human 8 hour sleep schedules that the world revolves around, we only receive about an hour or two of REM sleep [the most important sleep]. The rest of the 6 hours can be considered filler. The Dymaxion sleep schedule is 2 hours total of sleep, but it cuts them into 4 naps, each being only REM sleep. Since there's 24 hours in a day, that divided by 4 is 6, so you spread each nap out by 6 hours. I, personally, think this is very flexible, as there are not many things that take 6 hours without a break.

So, here's an example of the Dymaxion [I will detail others later in this post for convenience]. Currently what I'm doing, is I'm taking a nap at 1:30 AM, 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM. Each are spread out by 6 hours. If you do this sleep schedule correctly, it means you get 6 extra hours of time each day. The human race has always wanted more time since... ever, so this is obviously extremely useful. It starts adding up into days, then weeks, then whole months of free time you never had before. This can be extra work time, book reading, doing stuff you don't want people to see [which is pretty much 90% of us at night-time ;)], whatever you want it to be. Take advantage of the fact that the whole world is asleep while you're awake at night.

Of course you're wondering, is it safe? I've lived all my life around the 8-hour sleep schedule, why hasn't anyone told me about this? First question: Yes. People have been reporting the results of their sleep schedules [and I intend to do the same, starting today, on this very blog], and have generally reported being healthier. To quote one person: "My brain constantly feels like it's in a jacuzzi." You're getting the exact same amount of IMPORTANT sleep (REM, the sleep cycle where your eyes blink at rapid speeds and dreams occur) by tricking your body. Nobody's told you about this because the world is so far into the 8-hour sleep schedule that it would take untold amounts of time for EVERYBODY to change to it.

Lastly, here are some other sleep schedules you may enjoy. I'll link to the wikipedia article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyphasic_sleep#Uberman.27s_sleep_schedule

Please note that there is obvious controversy surrounding this sleep schedule, as it has not been studied very much, and remember, just because someone has a PhD doesn't automatically make their opinion more valid than everyone else's. If this feels right to you, then why let other people bring you down?

Some things to get out of the way: Dymaxion and Uberman are virtually the same thing. Dymaxion is 4 30 minute naps, and Uberman is 6 20 minute naps. I find the Dymaxion to be far more convenient. Also, on a random note, Leonardo Da Vinci, the genius behind Mona Lisa, was said to have done this sleep schedule for a very long period of his life, and he turned out to be very old. The only problem with this that I've found from past experiences is that you might have too MUCH free time :) Have fun, experiment with it if you'd like, and happy sleeping!

Intro to the Intro

This is Snoffaloffagus/Brononymous here, and I'm'a just gonna be writing about whatever I feel like. I'm going to update this every day with SOMETHING. I'm thinking of writing 30 minutes segments of something every day, and making it into little parts (like walkthroughs for video games, cooking tips, life tips, random chatter, just whatever). I'll try to integrate the comments if this ever actually gets semi-popular, and what people ask for I'll probably write. We'll see how this goes.
